The main entrance to the Victoria and Albert Museum is regard as one of (Edward) Alfred Briscoe Drurys (1856?1944) best works. The entrance includes Prince Albert immediately above the main entrance (plinth empty in this picture), nine lunettes with Drurys characteristic allegorical girls each bearing a portion of the museums motto, allegorical figures of Inspiration and Knowledge, and Queen Victoria above it all.
