Zeppelin LZ4 after the Echterdingen disaster, Germany, 1908 (1933). LZ4 was the fourth Zeppelin to be built. The German Army was interested in purchasing the airship but on 5th August 1908 she crashed, caught fire and was destroyed at Echterdingen near Stuttgart whilst on a flight intended to demonstrate the Zeppelins capability of making a 24 hour flight.
