Napoleon and Marshal Lannes at Essling, 1809, (1896). Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821) with Marshal Jean Lannes, Duc de Montebello, Prince de Sievers, who was mortally wounded at the battle of Essling in Austria, 22 May 1809.
