Letter written from Whitehall to the Lord Mayor of London desiring him and the Alderman to be present and to assist at the proclamation of Oliver Cromwell as Lord Protector of the Commonwealth on Monday19th December. Signed by Jon Disbrowe (or Desborough), Phillip Sidney, Viscount Lisle (Earl of Leicester, 1677), John Lambert, Edward Montagu (Earl of Sandwich, 1660), Sir Gilbert Pickering, Bart, Philip Jones, Walter Strickland, Richard Maijor, Francis Rous, Sir Charles Wolseley, Bart, William Sydenham, Sir Anthony Ashley Cooper, Bart. (Earl of Shaftesbury, 1672) and Henry Lawrence.
