Tankard, early 17th century?, (1881). Etching of a tankard, possibly made in Germany at the beginning of the 17th century. The gilt handle is in the shape of a female figure, with a decorative knob on the lid. The body of the tankard may be of alabaster. From " The South Kensington Museum", a book of engraved illustrations, with descriptions, of the works of art in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London (formerly known as the South Kensington Museum).
