The St Louis Robin refuelling, c1929 (c1937). An endurance flight of over 420 hours was made in 1929 by the St Louis Robin, shown here being refuelled during flight. Piloted by Dale Jackson and Forest O Brine, the Curtiss Robin aircraft took on board 3500 gallons of petrol during the flight, refuelling 48 times.
