Portrait of the illegitimate son of King William IV:..Commander-in-Chief at Bombay [Mumbai, India], and Colonel of the 36th Regiment...Although he had never seen active service, Lord Frederick Fifzclarence always took a warm interest in his profession; and by his military administration largely benefited the Portsmouth district and the Bombay Presidency...[he] was distinguished through life for his frank and generous disposition.
