The Temptation of Eve, c. 1545/1547. Although not related to any specific projects created at Fontainebleau, this print is a beautifully example of the influence of the style of wall decoration established there. The richly ornamented frame competes with the central image for the viewers attention. In fact, this decorative style was one of the main innovations of the Fontainebleau school. It is characterized by curling bands (known as strapwork) skillfully intertwined with bulging garlands of fruit and other motifs

10x8 Print in an MDF Wooden Frame with 180 gsm Satin Finish Paper. Glazed using shatter proof thin plexi glass. Frame thickness is 1 inch and depth 0.75 inch. Fluted cardboard backing held with clips. Supplied ready to hang with sawtooth hanger and rubber bumpers. Spot clean with a damp cloth. Packaged foam wrapped in a card.
