The Flagellation of Christ, 1922. Anton Lang, a player in the Oberammergau Passion Play, as Jesus during the Scourging at the Pillar. The play is performed every 10 years, on open-air stages, by the inhabitants of the village of Oberammergau in Bavaria, Germany.
