Crucifixion scene, crozier, 1330-1340, (1881). Etching of the carved ivory head of a pastoral staff, made in Paris in the early 14th century. The ornamentation consists of a vine branch with long stems and small bunches of grapes, the Crucifixion with the Virgin and St John in the volute, and an angel below. From " The South Kensington Museum", a book of engraved illustrations, with descriptions, of the works of art in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London (formerly known as the South Kensington Museum).
