In 1956 Althea Gibson (1927-2003) became the first African-American to win a Grand Slam title (the French Championships). The following year she won both Wimbledon and the US Nationals. The sticker is a blue and white circle and depicts the American Tennis Associations logo. " ATA" is at the top enter of the sticker. A white bird is at the center above " 1916.". Written on the bottom, outside border of the logo is " SPORTSMAN-UNITY-GOODWILL."
