Stand of the Wimbledon branch of the Womens Social and Political Union (WSPU), London, 1911. The stand of the Wimbledon branch of the WSPU at the Christmas Bazaar located in the Portman Rooms, 1911. Rose Lamartine Yates was the secretary of the stall which specialised in childrens clothes and relied on donations. The bazaar was themed in the style of the 18th century, thus explaining the womens dress. The WSPU was the organisation at the forefront of the campaign to secure the vote for women in Britain
