The proposed "Courts of Justice Central Hotel, " Strand, opposite the new Law Courts, 1883. The important change which has taken place in the conduct of the legal business of the United Kingdom by the concentration of the entire legal machinery at the new Royal Courts of Justice, has created a large demand for hotel accommodation in the immediate vicinity...a very important site has been chosen for the erection of a first-class hotel...The Hotel will be the most Central in London...being only two minutes walk from the Underground Railway system (Temple Station), the same distance from the Thames Embankment and the river steamer service (Temple Pier), the Temple, Chancery-lane, and Lincoln's-inn; and omnibuses pass the doors to all parts of London. It is also in close proximity to the principal theatres and places of amusement, and within a shilling cab fare of nearly the whole of the railway termini of London. The Hotel will be one of the largest and most important in London; and the entire building will be lighted by electricity, and will be connected with the Courts by the same medium. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame. While we aim to keep sizing consistent, exact dimensions may vary slightly due to differences in print size or production requirements, which may result in a variation in the overall size (up to approximately 2.5cm (1"))
