The Lodging of Bonaparte at Valence, 1896. The house, which was kept by Mlle. Bou, is the four-stor[e]y building with heart-shaped tavern-sign to the left of the picture. The building to the right (now known as the Maison des Tetes) was the printing-house and reading-room much frequented by Bonaparte in 1791 when writing his competitive essay for the Lyons Academy.
