Jennie Baines (1866-1951), British-Australian campaigner for womens suffrage, addressing a mass rally of Suffragettes in central London on 12 December 1908, following her release from Armley Gaol in Leeds. She had been convicted of unlawful assembly, and was the first Suffragette to be tried by a jury.
