The conferring of the Order of the Black Eagle, held at the Berlin City Palace on 27 January, birthday of German emperor Kaiser Wilhelm II (1859-1941). The Black Eagle was the highest order of chivalry in the Kingdom of Prussia. Wilhelm continued to award the order to his family after he was deposed in 1918.
