Godstow Nunnery, 1845. The ruins of Godstow Abbey near Oxford which dates from 1133. The Abbey housed an order of Benedictine nuns, and Rosamund Clifford, the mistress of King Henry II, retired here and died at 30....this Convent was both the residence and burial-place of Rosamond: and here masses were said for her soul...only a small Chapel, with some of the outward walls, as exhibited in our Engraving, remains. Fluted cardboard backing held with clips. Supplied ready to hang with sawtooth hanger and rubber bumpers. Spot clean with a damp cloth. Packaged foam wrapped in a card.
