Funerary Portrait of a Man, c. 138-192. So-called mummy portraits were apparently painted during the owners lives and hung in their homes. At the time of the owners death, the portrait was taken down, cut from its frame, and trimmed to fit the deceaseds mummy, to which it was bound. It was at that time also that the gilding on the center painting was added

10x8 Print in an MDF Wooden Frame with 180 gsm Satin Finish Paper. Glazed using shatter proof thin plexi glass. Frame thickness is 1 inch and depth 0.75 inch. Fluted cardboard backing held with clips. Supplied ready to hang with sawtooth hanger and rubber bumpers. Spot clean with a damp cloth. Packaged foam wrapped in a card.

Ready to Hang Contemporary Framed and Mounted Prints. To ensure the paper is held securely the visible picture may be marginally smaller than quoted.
