Episode of the Crimean War (1853-1856): the Battle of Suomenlinna (also known as the Battle of Viapori or the Bombardment of Sweaborg), was fought 7-8 August 1855 between Russian defenders and a joint British/French fleet. Suomenlinna is a sea fortress near Helsinki, Finland.
