The Cart-Horse Show at the Agricultural Hall, 1881. 1. Judging and Parade of Horses before the Royal Visitors. 2. Black Filly (First Prize), one year old, Hon. E. Coke, Longford Hall, Derby. 3. Horse (First Prize), ten months old, Mr. W. H. Potter, Lockington, Leicestershire. 4. Horse, two years old (Third Prize), Mr. A. Hamond, Swaffham, Norfolk. 5. Mare, seven years old (First Prize and Cup), Earl of Ellesmere, Wors'ey. 6. Horse, ten years old, Beauchief (First Prize), Mr. F. Street, St. Ives, Huntingdon...The horse which probably attracted most notice was Beauchief, a fine brown stallion, with white hind feet, and ten years old, which was bred by Mr. J. Sampson, at Beauchief Abbey, near Sheffield, from Devonshire Lad and a daughter of Comet. This horse, which belongs to Mr. F. Street, of Somersham Park, St. Ives, is shown in our page of Illustrations, as well as a younger stallion, Westacre Wonder, bred and owned by Mr. Anthony Hamond, of Swaffham; also the Earl of Ellesmere's seven-year-old mare Black Diamond; Mr. W. H. Potter's colt stallion Coming King; and the Hon. E. Coke's black filly Chance; each of which gained prizes in his or her class, according to the limitations of age and sex'. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame. While we aim to keep sizing consistent, exact dimensions may vary slightly due to differences in print size or production requirements, which may result in a variation in the overall size (up to approximately 2.5cm (1"))
