Baron de Humboldt, (1769-1859), 1920s
Born in Prusia in 1769, Baron de Humboldt arrived in Havana in January 1801 and went back in April 1804. In 1826 he published a political essay of the Cuban island in Paris, circulation was prohibited in Cuba, due to his disapproval of slavery. He died in 1859.
