The armour of Pyrrhus was richer and more beautiful than that of his soldiers, c1912 (1912). Artist: Ernest Dudley Heath
The armour of Pyrrhus was richer and more beautiful than that of his soldiers, c1912 (1912). While Pyrrhus was training an army in Tarentum, the new Greek Consul Valerius was advancing with his army towards the city of Rome. Pyrrhus did not wait for the Kings arrival to attack, his decorative armour was easy to spot and dragged his troops further into the Romans divisive strategy.
