St. Jamess Theatre - The Amateurs - Capt. Bobadil, (Mr. Charles Dickens), 1845
St. Jamess Theatre - The Amateurs - Capt. Bobadil, (Mr. Charles Dickens), 1845. London stage production starring amateur actors in Ben Jonsons " Every Man in his Humour". British writer Charles Dickens and his friends staged the play as a benefit, and acted in it themselves. Mr. Dickenss Bobadil was the best impersonation of the night, and a performance of very high merit, even if measured by a technical standard. From " Illustrated London News", 1845, Vol VII
