St. Georges Schools, Sheffield, 1844. These buildings, of which the first stone has been so auspiciously laid, are to consist of three separate schools, with suitable classrooms. The Girls School, fronting St. Georges Church; the Infants School, forming the centre division, and fronting Beet-street and Siddal-street...There will also be comfortable dwelling houses for the master and mistress; the basement of the building being occupied by library, soup kitchen, play-grounds, &c....The design of the building has been furnished, and the work will be carried out under the able superintendence of Messrs.Worth and Frith, architects.
