The Sir Paul Pindar. (c1872). The Paul Pindar Tavern, Bishopsgate, City of London. This 17th century building was originally the residence of the diplomat Sir Paul Pindar. In the 18th century it became a tavern, the Sir Paul Pindars Head. It was later demolished although the timber fac ade was preserved and put on display at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
