The Rebellion of Arabi Pasha in Egypt, 1882: The Charge at the Battle of Kassassin, (1901). On 10 September 1882, an Egyptian army led by Ahmed Urabi attacked British troops at Kassassin, a village in Lower Egypt, in order to recapture the Suez Canal, which had been seized by the British. The Household Cavalry composite regiment charged the Egyptian infantry who abandoned their guns.
