Maurice Chevalier, French actor, 1933. Chevalier (1888-1972) was a French actor and popular entertainer. His signature songs included Louise, Mimi, and Valentine. Chevaliers trademark was a casual straw hat, which he always wore on stage together with a tuxedo. In the 1950s his career enjoyed a renaissance when he appeared in Love in the Afternoon (1957) and the popular musical Gigi (1958) in which he sang Thank Heaven for Little Girls and I Remember it Well
