The Martyrs Obelisk, Edinburgh - (from the parapet of North Bridge), 1845. The Political Martyrs Monument commemorates five political reformists from the late 18th and early 19th centuries: Thomas Muir, Thomas Fyshe Palmer, William Skirving, Maurice Margarot and Joseph Gerrald.
