Miss Julia Beatrice Peel, who has so charmingly aided her distinguished father's hospitality lately, is the happy bride whose marriage has shed this pleasant light over the ex-Speaker's retirement. Miss Peel is the...eldest daughter of the Right Hon. Arthur Wellesley Peel...Mrs. Peel died in 1890. Since that sad event the responsible social duties devolving upon Miss Peel have been gracefully discharged by her, and she has won many friends, whose congratulations have been testified by the scores of handsome presents received...The bridegroom...is in his fortieth year. Mr. Maguire was educated at Cheltenham...and thence proceeded to Merton College, Oxford. Here he graduated B.A. in 1877, and M.A. (double first class) in 1880. He was called to the Bar of the Inner Temple twelve years ago, but, we believe, has not practised. Mr. Maguire is a Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford. He entered Parliament in 1890 as M.P. for North Donegal, which he represented till 1892, when he was returned for the West Division of County Clare as a Parnellite. Mr. Maguire has had much to do with South Africa, where he has travelled extensively'. From "Illustrated London News", 1895. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame. While we aim to keep sizing consistent, exact dimensions may vary slightly due to differences in print size or production requirements, which may result in a variation in the overall size (up to approximately 2.5cm (1"))
