Interior of St. Magnus Looking West, mid-late 19th century. Creator: Unknown
Interior of St. Magnus Looking West, mid-late 19th century. One of a set of views of baroque London churches. The organ in the Church of St Magnus the Martyr at London Bridge, in Lower Thames Street in the City of London, was commissioned in 1711. The organ case is considered to be one of the finest existing examples of the Grinling Gibbonss school of wood carving. The church was rebuilt by Christopher Wren after the previous church on the site was destroyed in the Great Fire of 1666. The building was complete by 1676
