Hungerford Suspension Bridge, 1850, (1881). View of the bridge and boats on the River Thames in London, with Nelsons Column in the distance. The bridge was finished in 1845, but demolished in 1859-1860 to make way for Charing Cross Railway Bridge. The chains from the old bridge were later used for the Clifton Suspension Bridge at Bristol.
