Hermann Lang in a Mercedes Benz 300 SL, Nurburgring 1000km, 1952. He first started racing motorcycle sidecars. In 1933 he joined the engineering division of Mercedes and began as a test driver. In the 1934 season he was given the position of race mechanic to Luigi Fagioli, and was promoted to the race team for the 1935 season. In 1939 he won at Pau, won for the third time at Tripoli, and won in the Eifelrennen. He rejoined the Mercedes team after the war in 1951, and not only came first at Nurburgring in 1952 but also won the Le Mans 24 Hour race. Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame.
