'Feeding Rota, The "Pinner Lion"', 1940s, (1945). British Prime Minister Winston Churchill feeding a lion at London Zoo. The lion, called Rota, had been kept in a back garden in Pinner, Middlesex, and was presented to Churchill by its owner. Churchill later donated Rota to the Zoological Gardens.
