Jack Allen heads Newcastle's first goal, FA Cup Final, Wembley, London, 1932. The Arsenal players are Eddie Hapgood, goalkeeper Frank Moss, Herbie Roberts and George Male. Allen's 38th minute header cancelled out Bob John's opening goal for Arsenal. Allen scored again in the 72nd minute to win the cup for the Magpies. Arsenal FC captain Eddie Hapgood runs onto the pitch at Highbury, London, 1930s. A left back, Hapgood (1908-1973) was Arsenal's captain from 1933. In all he made 393 appearances for the club between 1927 and 1944 and also captained England in the 1930s. He is followed onto the field by centre half Herbie Roberts (1905-1944), who played 297 times for Arsenal between 1926 and 1937.
