Handcut wooden puzzle of Michael Brown's picture used in the Life Association of Scotland calendar, depicting the 5th hole at Prestwick, named Himalayas because of its mountainous sand dunes. The golfers pictured are JH Taylor, George Duncan, James Braid and Harry Vardon, together with two caddies. Prestwick was the original venue for the Open Championship in 1860

Old and Young Tom Morris, c1870. Scottish golfer Old Tom Morris (1821-1908) was one of the outstanding figures of early competitive golf. He won the Open Championship four times, in 1861, 1862, 1864 and 1867. On his 64th birthday he remained a good enough golfer to complete a round at St Andrews in 81 strokes.
