Secondary concourse, Chicago Union Station, Illinois, 1926. View showing the entrance to the main waiting room. Chicago Union Station opened in 1925, replacing an earlier station built in 1881. It is the only intercity rail terminal in Chicago. The station buildings were designed by Daniel Burnham.
