The Battle of the Saints, c1795, (1924). The Battle of the Saintes was fought in the Caribbean off Dominica between a French fleet commanded by Admiral Francois-Joseph Paul, Comte de Grasse (1723-1788), and the British, commanded by Admiral George Rodney (1718-1792), from 9-12 April 1782.
