Funerary wreath from the Macedonian royal tombs, 350 BC-325 BC
Funerary wreath from the Macedonian royal tombs, 350 BC-325 BC. The royal house of Macedon, which lasted from the 9th century BC to the 4th century BC, had royal tombs at Vergina, Macedonia, Greece, site of the ancient city of Aigai. Philip II (382 BC-336 BC) was buried there, and his son Alexander the Great (356 BC-323 BC), (Alexander III from 336 BC), was the most famous member of the Argead dynasty.
