Exhibition of the West of England Agricultural Society at Clifton, 1864. No less than 88, 138 people visited the Bath and West of England Exhibition at Bristol, and the total receipts were within seven half-crowns of £6000. The society at present consists of 1066 members, and the total head of stock from 165 exhibitors was 776. We omitted (from lack of an authorised prize-list) to mention that the head prize in the Hereford yearling-bull class was awarded to Mr. Duckham's Commodore, a son of the old cow Carlisle, of the Silver tribe, which was purchased, as a speculative bargain, at Lord Berwick's sale. In consequence of his dam having foot and mouth, he was only nursed at the teat six weeks; but he has thriven apace, and now girths 7 ft. 6 in. at twenty-two months. Such receipts and the Treaty of Hereford between the All Red and White Face tribes will give the society henceforward a national importance, such as it has never yet possessed'. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame. While we aim to keep sizing consistent, exact dimensions may vary slightly due to differences in print size or production requirements, which may result in a variation in the overall size (up to approximately 2.5cm (1"))
