A naval officer and explorer, Collinson commanded HMS Enterprise during the search for the missing Arctic explorer Sir John Franklin. Trinity House is the organisation responsible for the maintenance and operation of lighthouses, lightships and navigational buoys in England, Wales, the Channel Islands and Gibraltar.
