Advertisement for Homocea, 1895. First Young Lady: "Yes, dear, I am quite a martyr to neuralgia." Second Young Lady: "I am so sorry for you, but why not try Homocea? I have found it a positive cure for all pains"...It is not only a wonderful lubricant, but strongly antiseptic, and relieves inflammation and pain almost instantaneously...I have used it for all kinds of ailments during the last eight years, here and at sea and in Canada. For stiffness, sprains, muscular rheumatism, sore throat, mosquito-bites, etc. it is a real boon, and no praise can be too high for it. No one need be afraid to use it for even the most tender part, eleven on raw flesh...an infallible cure for Piles, Rheumatism, Sciatica, Neuralgia, Toothache, Earache, Chilblains, Cold in the Head, Eczema, Sores, Cuts, Bruises, Wounds, Inflammation, Stiffness, Sprains, and Strains...cured a very severe attack of Gout in a patient's hands; they were so painful she cried if you only touched the bedclothes... My carpenter's wife complained of cramps from rheumatism, being unable to sleep. Now the rheumatism is better, and the cramps so far gone that she can sleep...I believe the ointment to be most valuable in many cases, and I think it right to say so'. Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. Note: measurements provided are estimated outer dimensions, which include both the image and the frame. While we aim to keep sizing consistent, exact dimensions may vary slightly due to differences in print size or production requirements, which may result in a variation in the overall size (up to approximately 2.5cm (1"))
