Action between H.M.S." Leander" and " Le Genereux", 1936. HMS Leander was a Portland-class 50-gun fourth rate of the Royal Navy, launched at Chatham on 1 July 1780. Genereux was a French Temeraire-class 74-gun ship of the line. After capture she completed her career as part of the Royal Navy as HMS Genereux.
