Framed Print of 1922 Bradbury motorbike and sidecar, 1955
1922 Bradbury motorbike and sidecar, 1955. The machine is seen taking part in the 1955 Banbury Run. With experience of making sewing machines from the middle of the 19th Century and later machine tools and equipment for cycle manufacture, Bradbury soon earned a reputation for high quality with the motorcycles they introduced in 1902. Bradbury introduced one of the earliest forms of variable gearing, using manually adjustable pulleys, in 1912. The company's original bikes were badged Peerless'. Bradbury ceased trading in 1929.
