Yvette Guilbert: Sur la scene, 1898. The diva of the Parisian cafe-concert, Guilbert was portrayed in high and low art throughout the Belle Epoque. Toulouse-Lautrec portrayed the singer in her signature long black gloves and simple satin dress with deep V-neck that accentuated her thin figure and distinguished her from her heavily corseted colleagues.
