Silver disc brooch of AEdwen, Anglo-Scandinavian, first half of the 11th century. The decoration shows the Viking Ringerike style. The brooch may have been buried at a time of danger; it was found in a hoard in a field at Sutton, Isle of Ely, Cambridgeshire, in 1694. From the British Museum
