American soldier Hamilton Fish II (1873-1898) on board the Saratoga days before he was killed in Cuba. Fish was a sergeant in the 1st United States Volunteer Cavalry, known as the Rough Riders. From " The Little I saw of Cuba" by Burr McIntosh, with photographs by the author. (In 1898, American actor and journalist William Burr McIntosh went to Cuba to cover the Spanish-American War for " Leslies Weekly" as a reporter and photographer). [F.
