Clock and statues, Church of St Dunstan-in-the-West, London, 1926-1927. The clock dates from 1671, and was the first public clock in London to have a minute hand. The sculpture of Queen Elizabeth I (top right), dating from 1585, and those of King Lud and his son were originally sited at the Ludgate. Lud was a king of Britain in pre-Roman times.
