Greenwich Royal Observatory, Greenwich Park, London

Greenwich Royal Observatory, Greenwich Park, London. The observatory was built by Christopher Wren (1632-1723) on the orders of Charles II with the aim of providing accurate navigation tables and of solving the problem of finding longitude at sea.
