Launch of the Empress of Britain, Glasgow, Scotland, 11 June 1930, (1935). The new Canadian Pacific Liner, Empress of Britain, which was launched at Glasgow by the Prince of Wales. RMS Empress of Britain, built by John Brown & Co on Clydebank, provided scheduled trans-Atlantic passenger service between Canada and Europe from 1931 until 1939.
