Langham Hotel, (c1878). The Langham Hotel in Marylebone, London, was designed by John Giles and built between 1863 and 1865. Famous guests include Mark Twain, Napoleon III, Oscar Wilde, Antoni n Dvora k and Arturo Toscanini. It was one of the first buildings to be installed with electric lighting, (1879).
